The Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP) (2022—2027) is Denmark’s collaboration programme with the Middle East and North Africa. The programme aims to build partnerships to strengthen good governance and ensure economic opportunities especially for young people and women in Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. The Youth Inclusion and Employment Project (YIEP) focuses on enabling young people to be inspired and included in economic life.
Your responsibilities
The MEAL coordinator will be working together with the Key DAPP expert and other staff placed in the office in Rabat but will have the main responsibility for the MEAL processes and monitoring of the Global Platform (GP) activities hereunder:
MEAL coordination
- Maintain a robust MEAL system for the DAPP programme, in accordance with AADK minimum standards and procedures.
- Coordinate and provide oversight of all aspects of the Monitoring & Evaluation processes for the project.
- Ensure that monitoring plans, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to and develop and continuously improve standardized data collection tools that will allow the collection and compilation of data for the outputs/outcomes of the project, in collaboration with and in respect of guidance from AADK and the DAPP programme secretariat.
- Coordinate data collection related to project activities in accordance with the M&E plan, including use of various monitoring and assessment tools, such as surveys, focus group discussions, interviews, and pre- and post- training questionnaires.
- Develop models and tools for quality assessments and undertake internally facilitated qualitative assessments hereunder verify and analyze data collected by local partners and prepare reports and data visualizations.
- Ensure project evaluation, annual learning events to capture best practices and lessons learned from the project.
- Ensure partner capacities are assessed, and realistic MEAL expectations are factored into the project (measurement methods, deliverables/reporting, etc.).
- Support partners with tools and systems required for them to comply with donor MEAL technical requirements/standards and carry out regular monitoring and quality checks to ensure partners are adopting the required standards for MEAL, and GDPR.
- Conduct specific capacity-building activities to ensure partners build the necessary tools and capacities to comply with donor MEAL technical requirements/standards.
Global Platform coordination
- Ensure that the Global Platform (GP) in Morocco is providing a safe space for and building capacities in young people in accordance with the project description.
- Make sure that the GP is considered a meeting space for all partners and their target groups in the DAPP programme contributing to innovative ways for young people to find employment or become entrepreneurs.
- Facilitate GP Morocco´s connection, coordination and communication with other relevant GPs in AADK´s network.
- Ensure all results are fed into the overall project result on quarterly basis
- Prepare quarterly reports on the GP that will be included in the DAPP country report as per the reporting deadlines and guidelines.
